Recently, AEC Skyline has been awarded a multiyear Close Air Support (CAS) training contract by the Belgian MoD. Under the contract our aviation division will soon start delivering advanced contract air capabilities to support the specialist training of Belgian Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTACs).
AEC Skyline is no stranger to operating in Belgian airspace. Our company already has a considerable track record providing contract air support to the joint Belgian-Netherlands Air Ground Operations School (BEL-NLD AGOS) with operations being conducted both over the Netherlands and Belgium. However, these missions are part of the Dutch contribution to the JTAC courses led by this esteemed binational school.
Upcoming operations under the new contract will build on that specific experience though. AEC Skyline’s CEO Stef Have stated: “As you can understand I am genuinely proud of this vote of confidence by the Belgian military. In addition to existing contracts with the Dutch MoD and the United States Air Forces in Europe (USAFE), I believe that, given our evolving CAS training capabilities and specific expertise, this is yet another confirmation that our company truly distinguishes itself in this specialist field.”
